MOTL UK Germany 2021

October 22 - October 25

| Free – £650.00

Booking for Germany 2021 is now open!

Our inaugural programme to Germany will be an unforgettable experience. This 4-day trip running Friday – Monday will explore the Jewish history of Berlin, the rise of Nazism and Germany’s role in the Holocaust. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as we will be accompanied by Mala Tribich as she returns to Ravensbruck Concentration Camp for the first time since 1945.

The delegation will begin in Berlin on Friday, spend Shabbat in the city as well as free time on Saturday evening to explore this vibrant capital. On Sunday the group will go to Ravensbrück Concentration Camp accompanied by Survivor Mala Tribich before spending the last day in Bergen Belsen for a special ceremony to pay tribute to the remarkable British Armed Forces who liberated the camp. During the trip we will be joined by an exceptional educator team and Holocaust Survivors.

Travel Insurance

All attendees must take out their own comprehensive travel insurance including cover for disruptions due to Covid-19. We recommend you take this insurance out on booking. Your travel insurance should include cancellation, medical and quarantine cover. March of the Living does not take any responsibility in providing insurance for participants. If you have any questions regarding insurance, please get in touch.

Covid-19 Vaccination

As a result of the ongoing pandemic March of the Living UK, along with advice from international March of the Living, has made the decision to only allow fully vaccinated individuals on the Germany 2021 Programme. You must have had your second vaccine by 7th October 2021. We have the privilege of taking Survivors with us on the trip and in doing so must take all precautions to keep them and other participants safe. Additionally, the Covid-19 guidelines in Germany require you to be fully vaccinated to take part in several elements of our programme. If you have a medical exemption to the vaccine, please get in touch with us directly.

Changes to the Programme & Foreign Travel Advice

As the Covid-19 global pandemic is constantly changing there may be changes to the programme. We will follow all government guidelines and will keep you update as and when is necessary.  You will need to ensure you comply with all foreign travel advice to enter Germany and on return to the UK. Advice can be found here on the government website – https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/germany/coronavirus. We will update you with the travel guidance and testing requirements at the beginning of October. Please note all costs associated with testing requirements will be at the expense of the participant. This includes all tests for travel and any additional tests requested by March of the Living UK. In addition, any costs associated with unforeseen quarantining due to travel is at the cost of the participant.

Cancellation Policy

March of the Living UK is a registered charity and relies heavily on donations. We are aware that travelling currently comes with various risks and unknown circumstances. In good conscious we must minimise our financial risk. The Cancellation Policy is designed to protect the charity and put the responsibility on the participants travel insurance, as with all travel at present. However, we are negotiating with our land providers flexible cancellation policies and will try our best to recoup and refund as much money as possible to the participants if this was to occur.

Our Cancellation Policy as it appears in the T&C’s:

9.CANCELLATION:

If a Participant wishes to cancel their place on March of the Living UK they must do so by email to Lucy Prevezer at lucy@marchoftheliving.org.uk.

9.1 If the Participant cancels prior to 1st October 2021 they will receive a full refund for any monies paid.

9.2 If the Participant cancels on or after 1st October 2021 they will receive no refund.

9.3 If March of the Living UK cancels or curtails the Trip, due to government restrictions in regard to Covid-19, before the 1st October then a full refund will be given.

9.4 If March of the Living UK cancels or curtails the Trip, due to government restrictions in regard to Covid-19, on or after the 1st October, the following provisions will apply, depending on the nature of the cancellation:

a) If March of the Living UK cancels the whole or any part of any programme at any point on or after the 1st October, for any reason related to the Covid-19 Pandemic, no refunds can be guaranteed. Covid-19 cancellation may be as a result of the following non-exhaustive list: national lockdown; travel restrictions; UK or Germany’s Covid-19 regulations or interventions, third party suppliers, staff, and other third parties (whether unilateral or otherwise); infection, isolation and/or quarantine (irrespective of symptoms); shielding; track and trace; medical treatment; affected Staff, Educators and Bus Leaders.

b) Any possible refund will be entirely dependent and determined by the extent to which March of the Living UK can recover costs already incurred. Irrecoverable costs may include (but are not limited to) advance payments to hotels and coach companies. March of the Living UK will take all reasonable measures to recover such costs, and therefore to maximise the amount of possible refunds. However, you should note that if March of the Living UK is not able to recover any costs related to the Trip, it will not be able to offer any refunds.

c) If March of the Living UK curtails any part of any programme after it has begun or amends the programme in any way at this point, for any reason, no refund can be guaranteed.
